James Capes, our primary tier and river guide has over twenty years experience behind the vise and in the stream. A second generation professional tier, James began tying at age 5 and fly fishing for trout soon after. As a tier, he is familiar and capable with patterns throughout the entire spectrum of flies. Over the past twenty years he has developed patterns and presentation techniques proven to be consistently successful on New Jersey trout waters and beyond.

Floyd Capes
Floyd "Jim" Capes has been fly tying and fly fishing throughout the country for over 40 years. As a professional tier his streamer and bucktail designs were in constant demand at Oliver's Orvis shop in Clinton, NJ.

Bonnie Capes
Bonnie Capes' keen artistic eye and all around creative nature makes her an excellent fly designer. Although a music educator by trade, she is no stranger to fly fishing the fresh and salt waters of New Jersey.
